A different kind of IT consultant.

I didn’t build Om Consulting Services to be the biggest IT operation in Honolulu. I built it to be the right one — for the right clients.

For over two decades I’ve worked exclusively with small operations. Medical offices, schools, churches, solo practitioners — organizations where technology problems land directly on the people running the place, and where downtime has real consequences. I know that world well. I speak that language.

What I’ve learned in that time is that most technology problems are really communication problems in disguise. A client who understands what’s happening can make better decisions. A consultant who listens before they act solves the right problem. That’s been my approach since the beginning and it hasn’t changed.

I work with clients as a working ally, not a vendor. That means
plain language, honest assessments, and the occasional “I’m not the right person for this — but I know who is.” I’m not looking to close every opportunity that comes my way. I’m looking for the right fit — for both of us.

Some of the work that shaped me.

In 2013 I took over IT support at a Honolulu retirement community from a colleague who was leaving the islands. What started as standard IT work became something more over the following years — as clients aged, their needs changed, and I learned alongside them. Adjusting interfaces for deteriorating vision. Finding solutions for clients navigating hearing loss. Staying patient when technology felt overwhelming.

That work taught me something no certification ever could: that showing up consistently for someone, and adapting as their needs evolve, is the most valuable thing a technology partner can offer.

I’m still there. Twelve years and counting.

Rooted in community.

Technology is what I do. Community is who I am.

I’m an active member of the ManKind Project — an international organization focused on men living lives of integrity, service, and accountability. I’m also a core member and pillar of Hi VibeTribe Community Sanctuary, a community home and hub here in Honolulu where connection and collaboration are built into daily life.

These aren’t side projects. They’re expressions of the same values I bring to client work — showing up fully, communicating honestly, and investing in relationships that matter.

Beyond the computers.

For the past six years, my wife and I have run weekly Sound Journeys — live, immersive experiences using gongs, crystal bowls, percussion, and other instruments to guide participants into deep states of nervous system reset. When the nervous system settles, the body finds its way back to balance. We’ve seen it happen, week after week.

What started as a personal practice has grown into something substantial — over 100 episodes produced, livestreamed, recorded, mixed, and published to YouTube and Rumble. The production side of that work has sharpened skills I use every day: live audio engineering, signal flow, streaming infrastructure, post-production workflow. It’s creativity and technical discipline in equal measure.
